2025 CSF Net Building Class
Instructor: Lee Dockstader

Net Building classes will be on February 10th, 12th and 17th. It is run again by Lee Dockstader and the location will be at his home shop in Camas.  Class hours are 6:00 to 8:30pm but the last class may be a bit longer.  Class size is limited to the first 4 people so contact LeeDock1@gmail.com to enroll.  Net choice priority is in order of signup.  i.e. 1st to enroll gets 1st pick of which net to build.  

CSF provides the wood strips and Lee will provide handle wood 'at cost' and the net bag is purchased by you, the craftsman.  Details of materials and choices will be provided to class participants.   Pay Lee 'at cost' expenses directly.  Feel free to ask questions. 

February 10th

  • Select and Steam wood strips
  • Bend wood and let dry (include handle blank)
  • Select handle wood from Lee

February 12th

  • Lee provides CNC machined handles
  • Glue Wood together including final handle into forms

February 17th

  • Scrape off excess glue
  • Flatten with wide belt sander
  • Bevel edges on router table
  • Cut net cord slot
  • Drill holes for net cord

Finish at home:

  • Sand
  • Apply finish
  • Attach net
